A firm believer in a little everyday indulgence Meg became more conscious of what went into her food, especially her favourite food chocolate. The idea of Raw Halo came from a simple wish “To pick up a chocolate bar and count the ingredients on one hand, understand them, and most of all for it to taste delicious.
What Meg wanted she could not find anywhere, so she decided to create her very own recipes. Meg began with a simple blend of raw cacao and a touch of coconut sugar, an instant hit with friends and family. After such an initial success Meg’s friends and family encouraged her to dream big. In 2014, Meg started Raw Halo, making organic vegan chocolate from ethically-sourced, plant-based ingredients, with shine, snap, and smoothness in every bite.
Production started in small batches from her home kitchen, delivering bars by hand to local, organic stores. The business quickly proved to be a winner, and Meg soon needed an extra pair of hands. Meg’s husband, Jonathan joined the team in 2015 and together they now run Raw Halo. You can find Raw Halo in your favourite shops in the UK including Waitrose, Sainsbury’s and Ocado. Their passion for making the best-tasting vegan chocolate will never change.
