The most common reasons for being unhappy with your financial adviser are the following examples.
• Lack of Contact
• Insufficient investment Performance
• Poor or not suitable advice provided
For many people it can be difficult to query their financial adviser as it’s a very technical industry and most clients don’t have the same level of understanding as their adviser.
What we would say at Howard Wright is that, if something doesn’t feel right then it usually isn’t.
If you feel that you aren’t receiving the service you used to, you feel that you aren’t getting value for money, or your investments don’t seem to be performing well, then you should definitely consider changing advisers.

How do I change my Financial Adviser?

To change your Financial Adviser all you need to do is put it in writing that you wish for your service to cease. Should you already have a new adviser that you wish to use, then they should be able to do this for you.

Its important to bear in mind that there may be charges applicable for ending your service agreement with your adviser. At Howard Wright we would recommend you go through any service contracts you were provided with previously when you signed up, as these should be able to answer this question for you.

What if I don’t have a new Adviser Can Howard Wright help me?

At Howard Wright we often receive enquiries from members of the public asking if we can help them with their financial planning and the management of their investment portfolio moving forwards, as they are unhappy with their current adviser.

To help these individuals we look to have a free initial consultation with them to discuss their financial planning and why they aren’t happy with their current adviser.

Once we have established why they aren’t happy with their adviser, we then discuss how we can help them and what our approach would be moving forwards in managing their finances for them.

The Next Steps and Full Financial Review

Should you be happy with our initial meeting we would then look to undertake a full financial review of your investments and your previous financial plan.

If your adviser hasn’t been up to standard previously, then it’s likely that they will of most likely missed out key areas within your financial plan.

Once your financial review has been completed, a recommendation will be provided to you as to how we can manage your investment portfolio moving forwards.
